An Ode to the '80s

'80s-inspired fashion trends are rearing their heads on the catwalk and in stores this season. From makeup to clothing and accessories, these flashbacks are inescapable. Point in case, this cardigan I picked up from Zara yesterday with dramatic shoulder detailing:

This morning after getting dressed, I felt inspired to pay my own respects to the era into which I was born. To me nothing screams '80s makeup more than blue eyeshadow and frosted pink lips, ala MAC Contrast eyeshadow and Angel lipstick. What is your favourite resurrected 80's trend?

    i was wondering if you knew about the painterly paint pots. is that only for your eyes or could you use it to hide blemishes too?

    I have used painterly paint pot for years and I really love it. It is an eye colour base and it would not work very well concealing blemishes. Because it has a pink undertone, it may emphasize any areas of redness or discoloration. If you like the consistency then I would suggest the MAC Studio Finish Concealer. But as an eyelid base it is fantastic!
