People's Choice Awards 2010 Best Dressed

I love watching the People's Choice Awards because it is fun, fresh, fast paced, and there is always great fashion to drool over. Here are my picks for the best dressed of the evening:

1) Queen Latifah

As host of the show, she set the style precedent for the whole evening. She started off in in gorgeous, black, one shouder cocktail dress for the opening number and then changed into a curve hugging, white bombshell, gown with a diamond accented waist. Of course all the press pictures released have been of the winners, so if anyone can let me know where to find pictures and designer information, I would be very appreciative

2) Olivia Wilde

The House star radiated old Hollywood glamour in her stunning '50s inspired Monique Lhullier dress with diamond Fleurette earstuds and diamond line bracelet. The diamond shoulder detailing and black sash added the perfect accents that kept this look modern yet classic.

3) Carrie Underwood

She's a little bit county and a little bit rock-and-roll. Her white Christina Cota cocktail dress had a funky black lace/net overlay complimented by Rock & Republic stilettos, earrings by Johnathon Arndt and a bag by Lauren Merkin. And let us not forget her newest aquisition: her lovely new engagement ring. Congratulations Carrie!

Best Makeup

1) Lea Michele

Lea wore a Nuj Novakhett dress, Jenny Packham clutch, Christian Louboutin shoes and House of Lavande 1970’s gunmetal earrings with diamante stones. What tied her chic look together was her flawless makeup. She kept the face simple with peach toned blush and lips and let her eyes be the focus of attention. Perfectly sculpted brows, just enough black liner, champagne highlight on her inner corner. Divine.

2) Olivia Wilde

I am wild (yes, pun intended) for this simplistic, dewey, and sophisticated look. Clearly Olivia understands that when you have a statement dress, you do not want to drawn in overdone makeup. She chose a berry toned lip stain in lieu of a full finish lipstick. Her eyes were sculpted with a shimmery pearlescent shadow that made her baby blues pop. A light sweep of colour on the cheek and voila:

What were your favourite looks of the evening?
