Chanel Correcteur Perfection Long Lasting Concealer Review and Swatches

Lightweight, gel-based concealer with all-day staying power offers flawless, light-to-medium coverage. Ultra-smooth, supple texture feels comfortable on skin. Soft-focus pigments brighten dark areas and minimize imperfections. Wand applicator allows for precise touch-ups.-Chanel.com

A match made in complexion heaven: Chanel's Perfection Lumiere Foundation and Correcteur Perfection Concealer. There isn't a better way to kill a good foundation application than applying a concealer that is a completely different texture and finish. Just picture it: a lovely matte finish with shiny dots all over your face where you applied a light reflective or dewy concealer. To avoid this faux pairing, Chanel has released a the Correcteur Perfection Concealer as the constant companion to their new foundation.
I haven't been a fan of past Chanel concealers since they weren't opaque enough and had mediocre staying power. Not only is Correcteur Perfection Chanel's best concealer, it actually is a competitive force on the market in comparison to other brands. It isn't a complete coverage concealer (like MAC Studio Finish) but it certainly is rich and opaque. It is excellent for covering minor skin imperfections, such as individual blemishes, discolouration around the mouth and nose, and under eye circles.

It works best applied in thin layers, especially beneath they eyes to avoid an unnatural halo affect. I love that it doesn't crease or settle into fine lines. The best way to apply is to lightly dab the sponge applicator under your eye and tap in with your ring finger. For blemishes, I like to dab a little on the blemish and then press it lightly into my skin and slowly build up the coverage. It won't completely cover larger pimples or affect uneven texture, but it eliminates redness and hides small breakouts. The finish is satin which means it blends flawlessly with my foundation and is literally undetectable.
